There are people who believe octopuses are alien life forms. I’ve also heard that they make affectionate pets. Some people may prefer to call them octopi.
Although I’ve never seen one camouflaged in the wild, some of the videos showing the defenses these unique animals employ are, well, mind-blowing.
I chose this variegated yarn as an homage to the shape- and color-shifting abilities of the octopus.

I don’t think it’s good idea to have a pet octopus even if they are affectionate.

I definitely don’t advocate having an octopus for a pet! I saw a Nova episode where a scientist was studying one and it became very attached to his daughter – no pun intended.
