The sky in this picture was created by adding paint then spraying the canvas with water and sloshing it about to give a watercolor effect. I’m certain there is a technical term, but it has slipped my mind.

I made such liberal use of the spray bottle that I spent most of the class with a hair dryer until the canvas was dry enough to add white paint on top.
