Although I am driven to create things, I usually follow a pattern provided by someone else.

Designers, songwriters, painters – they are the true creatives!

But as I follow the steps and forge things from other’s instructions, a part of me imbues everything I make. And as the project magically transforms from a ball of yarn, its story emerges – a story unique to me. Sometimes the story is so special, I keep it for myself. Other times the story is meant for someone else and I share it, just as the designer shared with me.

Creativity isn’t just bringing a new idea into the world; it is expressing an idea in a different way.
