I was never really interested in crochet. Afghans and dishrags didn’t pique my creative curiosity.

It wasn’t until I realized I could crochet stuffies that I became hooked. The habit began with a Star Wars amigurumi kit, and has cascaded from there.

Eventually I made an afghan, although it’s nothing compared to those my Grandma Tess stitched. I’ve found that scarves are more my forte; a small sliver of afghan to carry with you on a cold day.

Now, all I need is a cold day…
