A waterfall embodies unrelenting power and incredible beauty.

One of my favorite places is Amnicon Falls State Park, in northern Wisconsin. I sit at the bottom of the lower falls, feeling the cool spray on my face and watching rainbows glimmer and dance.

But the sound makes the scene remarkable. I see life continue around me, but all I hear is the pounding of rushing water.

It is relaxing and exhilarating all at once.
